How does the Inflation Reduction Act impact your Medicare? Part 1

Hello, and welcome to today’s webinar! I’m so glad you could join us. Today, we will discuss something on the minds of many—how the Inflation Reduction Act will affect your Medicare prescription drug coverage in 2025.

We know that Medicare can sometimes be a bit overwhelming, especially with all the changes. That’s why we’re here—to help you understand what’s coming, how it impacts you, and what steps you might need to take.

We’ll explain everything clearly and straightforwardly so that by the end of this seminar, you’ll understand what to expect and how to make the most of the changes. Thank you for being here, and let’s dive in!

Hello! I’m Darin Weidauer, and this is my wife, Ronilin. We’re your local Independent Insurance Agents and are here to help you navigate the complex insurance world with a personal touch.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I served 22 years in the United States Air Force as a Cyber Warfare Officer, and now I’m dedicated to serving our community as an Independent Insurance Agent. I specialize in Medicare Advantage, Medigap, Prescription Drug Plans, Social Security Maximization and Claiming Strategies, Life Insurance, Annuities, and Long-Term Care Planning.

Before entering the insurance field, I was a professor at Loyola Marymount University, teaching subjects like Aerospace, Leadership, Management, History, and Physical Training. I’ve had the privilege of lecturing at over 54 colleges and universities across Southern California. While living in Europe, I also had the incredible opportunity to teach Civil Engineering Contingency Operations for NATO.

In addition to my insurance expertise, I’m a Gerontologist, which means I study our senior population's lifespan and aging process, focusing on their psychology and sociology. I’ve completed Law School and earned five Master’s Degrees in various fields, including Psychology, Long-Term Care, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Information Technology, and Business Administration (MBA).

We’re passionate about helping you find the right solutions for your needs, and we’re honored to be a part of your journey. Thank you for allowing us to serve you!

As your local licensed insurance agent, I thank you all for joining us today. Medicare can be overwhelming, but I'm here to guide you.

I want to start by letting you know a little about what I do. I’m licensed, certified, and trained specifically to understand how Medicare works. Every year, I dedicate over 80 hours to obtaining certifications from many of the top carriers. To give you some perspective, attorneys, nurses, CPAs, and physicians typically only complete around 20 educational hours annually. If you are an attorney or physician, please don’t take offense—this is just something we found online!

One key part of my work is passing an annual AHIP exam. This exam covers the basics of Medicare and essential topics like Fraud, Abuse, and waste training, ensuring I stay updated with all the latest changes and regulations.

But beyond the certifications and exams, what matters is how I can help you. I’m trained to use Medicare.gov to review your prescription drugs and find a plan that fits your needs and your budget. I know everyone's situation is different, and I aim to ensure you have the best coverage for you.

Again, being a licensed insurance agent, I pledge my service and undivided loyalty to you.

As you start navigating the world of Medicare, I want you to know that you don’t have to do it alone. I aim to provide knowledgeable and personalized guidance to help you understand your Medicare plan options. This isn’t a one-time interaction—I’m here for you all year round.

As I said, each year, I spend over 80 hours getting certified by top carriers to ensure I’m up-to-date with the latest changes and offers. That way, I can provide the most accurate and relevant information to help you make informed decisions. And if you ever have questions or concerns, whether it’s about your current plan or something new you’re considering, I’ll be here to assist you.

I also offer a no-cost annual plan review. This means that we’ll sit down together and review your current coverage to make sure it still meets your needs. If anything changes—whether it’s in your health, your prescriptions, or your financial situation—we’ll find a plan that works better for you. My commitment to you doesn’t end after our first meeting; I’m dedicated to being a resource for you as your needs evolve.

So, let’s work together to ensure you have the right coverage. I’m here to help, not just today but every step of the way.
